Our Story

We have a passion for well-crafted things, and we love exploring and experimenting with how functional (and sometimes not so functional) everyday objects are made. We started Craft Gym because we craved an inviting place to learn about all kinds of crafts and have access to great equipment and tools, a place to stretch out and work on a project, a place to meet, learn from, and be inspired by other crafters.

Craftsmanship is often taken for granted in our hectic, fast-paced lives, and “appreciate how something is made” rarely makes it on the list of today’s to-dos. It is often quicker to buy a ready-made item instead of creating a hand crafted one. Busy schedules, small apartments and other barriers make it challenging to set aside time, to find a creative workspace, and to splurge on tools and equipment needed for crafting. These challenges are why we created Craft Gym: to make crafting easy, to give you flexibility, and to equip your next creative endeavor.
