What is Craft Gym?Workshops | Studio Time | Private Lessons | Finishing Services | Catered Craft Parties & Events | LocationCraft Gym is studio space where instead of a physical workout, you get a creative one. Craft Gym currently offers workshops and open studio time in sewing, knitting, ceramics, metals, paper, wood and textiles. Our mission is to foster craft making and the crafter through community and convenience. Craft Gym offers access to crafting equipment and space to work on your projects. Quality instruction and project supplies are provided for all of our workshops, making it easy to exercise your creativity. As a workshop participant, there is no need to shop or prepare ahead of time. Just arrive ready to learn, enjoy yourself, and leave with a new skill and finished (or almost finished) product in three hours or less.
Craft Gym also sponsors social crafting and charity events as fun and inspiring ways to meet fellow crafters. Be sure to check the calendar or join our email list to hear about upcoming events.
Craft Gym workshops encourage you to approach crafting as both a journey and a destination, focusing on skill and technique building as well as the finished product of your labors. Class sizes are limited to make certain you get personal attention and assistance, and pre-registration is required for all workshops. We'll provide the equipment, you bring the materials (or contact us about procuring them for you).
Basic instruction is $40/hr for up to 2 students and $20/hr for each additional student. Minimum lesson length is 1 ½ hours. All private lessons take place in the studio. Students arranging private lessons can shop for materials on their own from a list supplied by Craft Gym or can arrange for Craft Gym to supply materials for a reasonable materials fee. All equipment and tools for the lesson will be provided by Craft Gym.

We begin the event planning process with an open exchange of ideas and information. You can always select one of our existing workshops or work with us to create a new, unique offering tailored to your needs. We will provide project ideas, instruction, equipment, materials, and assistance to complete a one-of-a-kind gift for the event’s guest of honor and/or DIY party favors for all of your guests.
